Trumpism is now already a new political ideology, marked by a more moderate/centrist political alignment than the Republican Party, extraordinary inclusiveness that was only previously known to be a feature of the Democratic Party (which can be seen from the massive growth in support by the minorities, blacks, LGBTQ and women voters), and brasher politics & hyper-activism that was usually a trait of the left and progressives.
Trumpism currently trying to devour and take over the Conservatism the Republicans usually stands for.
If it fails, in the light of a possible Trump presidential defeat on December 14 (where the electoral votes will be cast after all the Trump’s legal challenges), as well as a lack of initiative to back Trump by the winning Republicans representatives that had rode to victory on the coat tail of the Trump supporters – it will begin a possible process of a splinter movement away, by forming a new political party away from the Republicans.
Such a contradiction within the party and political split had been something that is happening to the Democratic Party, where the Far-Left had been hijacking the Dems narrative; but unlike the “Trumpism movement”, the Far-Left can’t survive on their own without the Democratic Party.
My understanding is, neutral observers are pretty excited about this plausible eventuality, because this will essentially breaks the 2 party dominance in the USA.
The funny thing is, the “Trump Party” would actually be between the Democratic Party and the Republican Party on the political spectrum.
