Here we go again, another race to 270, all over again.
What is at stake?IF due to states unwilling to certify, and no one gets to 270; constitutionally it will go into a one state one vote, based on the Twelfth Amendment (source: https://constitution.congress.gov/browse/essay/amdt12-1/ALDE_00000990/#:~:text=But%20in%20choosing%20the%20President,be%20necessary%20to%20a%20choice.)
” if no person have such majority (electoral vote), then from the persons having the highest numbers not exceeding three on the list of those voted for as President, the House of Representatives shall choose immediately, by ballot, the President.
But in choosing the President, the votes shall be taken by states, the representation from each state having one vote; a quorum for this purpose shall consist of a member or members from two-thirds of the states, and a majority of all the states shall be necessary to a choice. “
<— which means, Trump will have the advantage as more states are Red and voted for Trump than Biden, allowing Trump to win the election.
The lawsuits matters. Trump is not fully out of the running yet.
